CLIMATE EDUCATION RESOURCES

LEEF is working in partnership with the Southeastern Environmental Education Alliance to launch a new eeCourse, Climate Science and Communications.  We are recruiting formal educators from across the southeast to participate in a self-paced online pilot of our eeCourse from June 17-July 29.  Selected participants will receive a $75 stipend upon completion of the pilot and feedback survey.  Priority will be given to educators located in disadvantaged school districts as identified by the EPA. You will be notified by March 31st if you are selected to participate.

LEEF received 2 years of funding in partnership with NOAA B-WET and Florida Gulf Coast University to create a statewide Climate and Watershed Education Council and bring digital climate education resources to Florida educators.  The Council currently includes 18 members from school districts, non-profits, universities and government resiliency offices.  Together we are preparing to launch this resource in Winter 2023-24!

Founded in 1983, the League of Environmental Educators in Florida is the professional association for individuals and organizations dedicated to the cause of environmental education in Florida. We are the state affiliate for North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE), an organization that brings together those interested in the study and enjoyment of our natural world and one that has promoted excellence in environmental education throughout North America and the world for over four decades.  

The League of Environmental Educators in Florida is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
