Our Climate’s Florida team is currently constructing a large-scale, manatee mosaic of cardboard tiles calling for bold, equitable climate policy in the state legislature this spring. This unique project draws widespread attention to the climate crisis.

Below is the Right Whale Mosaic from Massachusetts last year:

A major component of this project is getting direct participation from constituents all over the state who are willing to lend their voice (and art!) to the climate movement.

We could use help from our partners in getting the word out about this special project.

  • We also have created a complete toolkit to share on how to participate in the mosaic at bit.ly/octoolkit including how to make a tile, host a party, the background behind the idea, and community contacts.

  • We will be hosting a virtual tile making party on Thursday, January 28th and February 11th drop-in from 7-9pm. Please spread the word and register at bit.ly/octileparty.
