
The LEEF Mini-grant Program was established to promote environmental education and conservation through projects of formal and non-formal educators and organizations. LEEF Members, both individuals and organizations, are invited to submit grant proposals for consideration.
Preference will be given to:
*Projects that focus on climate change, climate resilience or interdisciplinary climate education
*Projects that are located in schools and communities with a majority of Black, Indigenous and people of color residents
*Classroom initiatives or action projects that expand the traditional scope of environmental education in new and innovative ways
Proposal Evaluation Criteria
*The project will promote community-based support for environmental education programs or issues
*The project increases community or student involvement with the environment through education
*The project facilitates communication among environmental educators
*The project uses education as a change mechanism toward a sustainable society
Note
*Grant proposals are accepted from LEEF Members who have been members at least 1 year. If you would like to petition to have your proposal considered and have been a member less than a year, please fill out an application, note your request, and our committee will be in touch.
*A project summary report and presentation is required - either in person at the LEEF conference or via webinar (approximately one year from receipt of funds).
*Grant proposals are due June 30, 2023
