MissionTo get elementary students teachers and parents started on creating and implementing family and school action plans to help slow climate change. We activate and energize the "green team" at your school.
FeaturesThis is an activity program that involves children in learning through experience. Each grade level gets a piece of the climate change puzzle to learn. Children become frogs looking for clean water, penguins looking for krill under the ice, or polar bears looking for ice floes. Then in an all-school assembly we go over the carbon cycle together. Finally we end with Family Night when the parents come in to work with their children on a Family Sustainability Checklist together.
AccessibilityWe come to your facility. All our programs are inclusive.
Specific Locations ServedAll of Florida and the Southeastern US
AdditionalAny elementary or K-8 school is eligible. We need a big indoor space like the gym or cafeteria for our activity sessions, the all-school assembly at the end of the day, and family night in the evening. We need a screen for slides and film clips. We bring our own projector.
