
Chinsegut Nature Center is located 7 miles north of Brooksville with over 3 miles of hiking trails with in upland habitats, hardwood hammocks and May's prairie. It is operated through the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission within the Chinsegut Wildlife and Environmental Area. Much of the nature trail defines the boundary between longleaf sandhill and the hardwood forest that cirlce May's Prairie which is seasonally wet.
